A kid born in Kenya should be registered for a birth certificate within 6 months of birth. This may be done using the eCitizen Portal, the Huduma Centre, or the District Birth and Death Registries. You must use the same method every time you apply for a new certificate.
The eCitizen Portal is an online system used by citizens to follow the progress of their rights and duties. It was launched by Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta in August 2016 with the aim of making government services more accessible and efficient. The portal's key features include a database of all Kenyan citizens, which can be searched by name, location, organiser number (for members), and more; a single point of access for payments of any kind; and reminders when licenses are due.
Kenyan citizens can register births, deaths, and marriages on the eCitizen Portal. After creating an account if you do not have one already, you will be taken to a page where you can add your marriage details. After doing so, you will be directed back to the main registration page where you can select a birth date. A copy of the birth certificate will then be sent to your email address.
You can also search for people by name or organiser number in the eCitizen Portal.
All births in Nairobi are recorded at City Hall. Birth registration services are also available at district birth and death registries. Fees may be paid at the Registration Office.
You must bring two forms of identification to prove your identity before your registration is processed. The forms of identification needed depend on how old you are when registering. If you are under 18, you will need one form of identification that shows your name and date of birth. If you are 18 or older, you will need both of these items as well as evidence of citizenship like a passport or visa.

Visit local municipal corporation office to obtain a birth certificate registration form. You must now complete the form within 21 days after your baby's birth. Following that, the office will check facts such as birthplace and time, parents' names, gender, address, nursing home, hospital, and so on. They will then register your child within 10 days if all information is correct. If not, they will return the form with suggestions on how to fix the problems.

The cost varies by location and method used to obtain the certificate. It is best to check with the county clerk's office to find out their requirements and fees before proceeding with obtaining your birth certificate.
